1: Welcome
Welcome to our free mini course! We're so glad you're here. Let's introduce ourselves.
We are Ronaye Matthew and Margaret Critchlow, and we're the authors of "Community Led Housing: A Cohousing Development Approach".
Our book shares the approach we've used for over 20 years to successfully guide cohousing groups through formation, site search, construction, and moving into community.
But how do you know if the book would be useful for you? That's where this free mini course comes in :)
We've put the course together as an introduction to the book, to give you a sneak peak at the practical, detailed content available for both forming groups and professionals.
How does it work?
Our free mini course is built on a platform called Podia. At the left of your screen, you'll see the course outline. Lesson 1 (where we are now!) is available as a preview without registering.
If you'd like to take the free course, you simply click the 'buy now' button and follow the steps to create a Podia account with your email address and a password.
When can I start?
You can register any time, and start right away.
What's in the free mini course?
This course contains 10 short lessons, and most lessons consist of a short video, ranging from 2 to 7 minutes in length.
There's about 30 minutes of material in total, and we expect it will take you 1-2 hours to go through it all - depending how many extra rabbit holes you choose to follow!
At the end of the course, we offer a range of possible next steps and a list of additional resources - and we hope you'll send us your feedback on the course.
Let's get started!
